Roll The Block

Roll The Block is a spatial routing puzzle where speed means reading orientation before you roll. Count the block's full footprint on every flip and keep its upright form for the final square, and the route stays short instead of forcing a backtrack.

01

Win condition

Land the block standing upright on the marked destination tile with no part of it hanging over the edge. Reaching the goal square is not enough — a block lying sideways on the target does not clear the level, and any roll that drops a cell off the board ends the run.

02

Fastest line

Before each flip, work out whether the block will stand on one cell or lie across two after the move, and steer into the widest open area when you need to change orientation. Keep the block upright as you approach the goal so the last flip lands it standing exactly on the target.

03

Input language

Use the arrow keys on desktop or swipe in a direction on touch; each input tips the block exactly one face forward. There are no diagonal or multi-cell moves, so line every roll up with empty cells in the direction you send it.

04

Opening play

First read which orientation the target square requires. Then find the nearest open two-cell strip you can use to tip the block from upright to lying or back, and plan your early rolls to pass through that strip instead of hugging the narrowest lane.

05

Score signals

A roll is working when the block settles with every cell on the board and you are one step closer to a useful orientation. A roll is going wrong when the leading edge hangs over a gap or the block ends lying where the path narrows — that state forces a long detour to stand it back up.

06

Recovery

If the block ends the wrong way in a narrow section, back it out to the nearest open strip and stand it up there before retrying the approach. Re-read the destination's required orientation and plan the last three flips backward from the goal.

Player questions: Roll The Block

How do I control Roll The Block?

Use the arrow keys or swipe once per flip; each input tips the block one face forward. Point every roll toward empty cells rather than a ledge.

Why does the block land on the goal and still not finish?

The destination usually demands the block stand upright. If it settles lying down, back out to an open strip, stand it up, and re-approach so the final flip lands it standing exactly on the marked tile.
