Worms Zone A Slithery Snake

Worms Zone A Slithery Snake: feed along the open arena edge and save your boost for escapes, so you grow long instead of dying to a crowded turn.

SPEED RUN NOTES

Xcw speed-run notes

01

Win condition

Grow the longest worm you can by eating food while avoiding every other snake's body, because one collision ends the run. Length is the score, but survival is the real win, so every food route must still leave you room to turn.

02

Fastest line

Feed along open curves near the arena edges instead of the crowded center, and save your speed boost for a clear escape rather than routine travel. Growing on the outside is slower per pellet but keeps you alive far longer, which is where the length comes from.

03

Input language

Steer with the mouse, arrow keys, or the touch joystick; the boost is a separate press you hold only in open space. Keep curves smooth and release the boost the moment a larger snake crosses ahead.

04

Opening play

In the first seconds, head for a quiet stretch along the edge and eat what is there — do not chase food into the middle. Use your first boost only to cross open space when no larger body is near.

05

Score signals

A healthy run feels like you are always turning in space, with no snake body within a curve's length of your head. A warning sign is needing to boost constantly to dodge, or eating while your head points at another snake's flank — you are one turn from a collision.

06

Recovery

If a larger snake is closing in, drop the boost and make a wide turn toward open edge space; your length is worth nothing if you trade it for one pellet. Rebuild along the edge, then re-enter traffic only after you have grown past the snake that pushed you out.

Player questions: Worms Zone A Slithery Snake

How do I control Worms Zone A Slithery Snake?

Steer with the mouse, arrow keys, or the touch joystick, and hold the separate boost button only in open space. Keep your curves smooth and release boost the moment a larger snake crosses ahead.

When should I use the speed boost?

Use it to cross open space or escape, not for routine travel. Holding boost in a crowded area shortens your turning time and makes nearby snake bodies harder to dodge.
