SPEED RUN NOTES
Xcw speed-run notes
Win condition
Clear the level's target within the move limit — a move only earns its keep when it sets off a chain that reaches several pieces. A lone jelly popped in isolation wastes one of your limited moves.
Fastest line
Scan for the most crowded cluster and trigger it from the center, where one tap can spread to the most neighbors. Build early moves toward that dense area instead of popping isolated edge pieces, which give the shortest chains.
Input language
Click or tap a single jelly to trigger it; any level tools sit beside the board as separate controls. Read the cluster before each press, because every tap is a spent move.
Opening play
On your first move, ignore the edges and find the cluster with the most pieces close to reacting. Trigger where a central jelly touches several neighbors at once — a strong opening chain sets the tempo for the whole board.
Score signals
You are clearing efficiently when each burst ripples through a chain and the board visibly thins in one move. You are falling behind when reactions die at the edge of a group — that means you triggered from the outside instead of the center.
Recovery
If the board stalls, narrow your focus to the single densest cluster and build toward it with your next moves. Stop popping isolated pieces; trigger the center of that cluster so the chain has neighbors to carry it forward.
Player questions: Jelly Boom
How do I control Jelly Boom?
Click or tap a jelly to trigger it; any level tools appear beside the board. Read the cluster before each tap and trigger where the burst can reach the most neighboring jellies.
Where do I start a chain to clear fastest?
Start at the center of the densest cluster, where one trigger touches several neighbors at once. Edge pieces have fewer connections, so they produce the shortest chains.
