SPEED RUN NOTES
Xcw speed-run notes
Win condition
Merge your planes into a formation strong enough to clear the incoming waves and reach the stage target. Power comes from combining matching levels, so the round is won by how high you push your strongest unit, not by how many weak ones fill the board.
Fastest line
Scan for two identical planes before spawning anything, merge from the lowest level upward, and always leave one empty slot. A full board blocks the exact merge you need, so keeping a slot open is the fastest route to a stronger line.
Input language
Tap or click to spawn a plane, then drag one identical plane onto another to merge them. Spawning and merging share the same board space, so decide which pair you are building toward before you spend a slot.
Opening play
In the first seconds, spawn only until you have a matching pair, then merge it before adding more planes. Do not fill every slot at the start — an empty square is what lets you create and combine without stalling.
Score signals
A good round shows your strongest unit climbing a level every few merges while at least one slot stays free. If the board is full with no matching pair, or you keep spawning without a merge available, you have stalled the climb and the wave will outscale you.
Recovery
If the board is jammed, stop spawning and merge the lowest-level matching pair first to free a slot. Rebuild one step at a time from the bottom, and do not spawn again until a merge is available.
Player questions: Virus Attack Merge Plane
How do I control Virus Attack Merge Plane?
Tap or click to spawn a plane, then drag one identical plane onto another to merge them. Spawning and merging share the board, so decide which pair you are building toward before spending a slot.
Why should I keep an empty slot on the board?
A full board blocks the exact merge you need and stops your power from climbing. One free slot gives you room to spawn and combine, so keep a square open as the waves scale up.
