Cool Score

Plan the tightest defender gap first, then draw the curve through it into the open corner. A line through the gap scores faster than a blast at the whole net.

SPEED RUN NOTES

Xcw speed-run notes

01

Win condition

A kick wins when your curve carries the ball into an exposed part of the goal without touching a defender or obstacle. The round is a clearance puzzle, so the shot succeeds when the line finds a gap, not when it travels fastest.

02

Fastest line

Find the narrowest defender gap first, then shape the curve through it and into the open corner. Leading the shot through the space the defense is leaving finishes faster than blasting at the goal as a whole, because a line through a gap is a plan and a blast at the net is a guess.

03

Input language

Trace the intended curve from the ball toward the goal with a mouse drag or one-finger swipe; ending the gesture launches the shot. Aim the line at the specific gap between defenders, not at the goal in general.

04

Opening play

On the first kick, plan the tightest clearance first and connect that safe route to an open goal area. The narrow obstacle determines the useful curve, so read the gap between the two nearest defenders and lead the ball into the space behind them.

05

Score signals

A clean goal with your curve passing the defenders by a margin means the gap was right. A deflection off a defender, or the ball bending back into the middle, is the warning, and it means you aimed at the goal as a whole instead of a specific gap.

06

Recovery

If the curve keeps catching a defender, re-find the narrowest gap and rebuild the route around it from the ball. Try a softer, lower-power shot to change the timing, then keep the section of the curve that already clears and only fix the part that clips.

Player questions: Cool Score

How do I control Cool Score?

Trace the intended curve from the ball toward the goal; ending the gesture launches the shot. Aim the line through a specific gap between defenders rather than at the goal as a whole.

Should I aim at the goal before planning around the defenders?

No. Plan the tightest clearance first, then connect that safe route to an open goal area. The narrow obstacle determines the useful curve, so read the gap before you release.
