Basketball Challenge

Arc the ball over the rim and change only the variable the last miss exposed. The next shot lands after a small fix instead of a full rebuild.

SPEED RUN NOTES

Xcw speed-run notes

01

Win condition

A round is won by making enough baskets to clear the current score, streak, or attempt target. There is no defender, only the distance and arc between your swipe and the rim, so each made basket is a solved aiming problem, not a contested one.

02

Fastest line

Shoot a repeatable swipe and treat your first shot as a ruler. When a miss falls short, add lift; when it flies long, shorten the swipe, because changing one variable per attempt reaches the make faster than rebuilding the whole motion each time.

03

Input language

Swipe or drag upward from the ball with a mouse or one finger; the gesture's direction sets the line and its length sets the power. Release at the top of the motion, because letting go early flattens the arc into a rim bounce.

04

Opening play

On the first shot, keep the launch direction centered on the rim and use a medium-length swipe to measure distance. That single calibration shot tells you whether you need more or less power, so your second attempt only tunes one thing.

05

Score signals

A swish or a clean drop through the hoop means your arc is right. A short miss that hits the front rim signals not enough lift, and a long miss off the back signals too much, so let the miss name the adjustment instead of guessing.

06

Recovery

When the hoop moves or your streak breaks, shoot the same repeatable swipe from the new spot and change only what the last miss pointed at. If you are repeatedly long or short, move the release point in small steps and make an easy basket to reset your feel.

Player questions: Basketball Challenge

How do I control Basketball Challenge?

Swipe or drag upward from the ball; direction sets the line and length sets the power. Keep the motion smooth end to end, and lengthen or shorten it in small steps to tune the arc.

How should I adjust when the hoop position changes?

Recenter the launch direction on the new rim, then shoot one calibration swipe to measure distance. Change only the variable the miss exposes, lift for a short miss and less power for a long one, instead of changing both at once.
