Ropeman 3D

Ropeman 3D: aim the rope at a target's middle with a clear line, then release so each attach becomes a straight pull instead of a wasted swing.

SPEED RUN NOTES

Xcw speed-run notes

01

Win condition

A scene completes when the rope performs the job the stage sets — reaching, pulling, or restraining the target — without a failed attachment or an obstacle breaking the line. The finish is the successful pull, not just touching the target with a loose end.

02

Fastest line

Pick the attachment point before you fire: aim at the target's middle and wait until the route between you is clear of obstacles. A clean line turns the attach straight into the required pull, so you spend one shot per scene instead of retrying edge grabs.

03

Input language

Move the mouse or drag a finger to aim, then click, release, or press the on-screen action to fire the rope. The swing travels after the attach, so time the release for when the rope is lined up rather than tapping early.

04

Opening play

On load, name the target and the clear line to it, then note where the attached object will move once tension hits, before you fire. If the line is blocked or the target is mid-motion, hold the shot until the gap opens.

05

Score signals

A good attach pulls the target straight without a wide swing; an edge grab makes the object sway or miss. A failed attachment is the signal you aimed at an unstable spot or fired while the route was blocked — adjust the aim point, not the whole plan.

06

Recovery

If the pull misses, re-aim at a more central point on the target and retest the same gap before changing anything else. Edge attachments swing wide, so move your aim inward a touch and fire again once the line is clean.

Player questions: Ropeman 3D

How do I control Ropeman 3D?

Move the mouse or drag a finger to aim, then click, release, or use the on-screen action to fire the rope. Attach first, let the swing travel, and release when the rope lines up with the target.

Where should I aim the rope?

At the target's middle, not its edge. A middle grab pulls straight, while an edge grab whips the object sideways and misses, so also wait until the route between you and the target is clear before firing.
